Adventures in God
"This is the beginning of great and many things"
Peter was a collector of firearms (seventeen in total). While attending a meeting in the Johannesburger Hotel with Evangelist Reinhardt Bonnke, and his CfaN team, the Lord spoke to Peter and told him to sell every one of the firearms and give the finances to CfaN (Christ for all Nations). Brother Bonnke was launching the first of his Fire conferences to spread the gospel throughout Africa. The Lord promised Peter He would provide for him to attend the first three fire conferences which were held first in Zimbabwe, then England and also in Germany. The Lord kept His word as He always does, and all three trips were fully paid for without Peter having to outlay any finances.
In all three countries God did an amazing work. There were several leaders from all over the world in attendance at the conferences - speakers such as Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, Benson Edihosa, Ray McCauley and Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke. Countless miracles, salvations and healings took place and it was a glorious time for Peter. This was the beginning of great and many things in his life.
Zimbabwe Fire Conference
In Zimbabwe Peter had the privilege of leading many people to the Lord and praying for many who were sick. Peter’s destination in Zimbabwe is approximately 600 miles from Johannesburg and it was a long journey as he and fellow believers traveled by vehicle. It was his first trip out of South Africa and when he reached the border and began to fill out the paperwork, the Lord spoke to him and said that this was the beginning of great and many things - and it was. Hallelujah!
England Fire Conference
Peter’s first trip to Europe was full of excitement. Before he attended the fire conference, a friend who had paid for both trips to Europe, offered to take him to meet some of his family on an island called the Isle of Wight. Peter said that the moment they landed, as he took his first few steps, the Lord said to him “this shall be called the isle of Christ. Carry a cross around the island”! It was so audible that he thought his friend, Martin Phelps, heard it too. The word “wight” means “luckless, wretched”. Peter could hardly wait for the trip to the island to begin. The Lord supernaturally arranged for a minister on the Island to help him make a cross.
Brother Bonnke laid hands on Peter the night before he left for the island and said “Peter, for you a double portion!” Peter said he literally ran around the island with the anointing flowing through him - most of the team could not keep up with him. The island is five miles off the mainland of Winchester, England across the English channel and at the time, there were 120,000 people living on the island. The Lord supernaturally orchestrated the whole trip and Peter spent a week carrying a cross around the island ministering and leading people to Jesus as he walked. Most of them were open to receive Christ into their lives. Pastor Norman Vesey of Living Waters Fellowship and a team of people walked with Peter, handed out tracts and prayed for people as well.
Peter ministered in several churches while he was there as well as taking a trip to the heart of London and has since taken his lovely wife Dyllis, to the island on one of their trips to Europe. What a privilege to be a vessel used of God to bring people to Jesus. He even had the joy of leading the Mayor of Ventor to Jesus! Our God is an awesome God. Hallelujah!
Germany Fire Conference
We flew into Frankfurt Germany with excitement and enthusiasm. We met people from so many countries around the world. Many well-known and renowned ministers from around the world ministered at the conference. There were several miracles, healings and manifestations of the Holy Spirit present, the salvations were awesome to see.
Evangelist Reinhardt Bonnke, is being used to bring millions of people into God’s kingdom. Hallelujah!
Red Light District in Germany
The highlight of this awesome trip was a march through the Red Light District which is known for its decadent lifestyle of homosexuality, pornography, prostitution and violence. At least ten thousand people marched through the red light district singing praises to our God and glory to His name, carrying scripture-filled banners. Coming back from the march, Peter met some people who had found out that he had preached in the streets for years and pleaded with him to preach using an interpreter. Peter said that as he began to shout the wonderful name of Jesus, the anointing began to flow and although the prostitutes and homosexuals listened, many of the guys drinking and hanging around wanted to beat them up but once again the Lord delivered him and he went on his way worshipping and praising our wonderful Savior Jesus Christ.
2 Timothy 3:10-13
But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance, 11 persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra — what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me. 12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.
