How To Receive From The Lord

 “And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. 24 Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them.” Matt 4:23-24
We find in scripture there are several procedures to activate healing. The most notable ways in the time of Christ were; 1.) The Word of God was taught and preached, 2.) The power or the anointing of God was manifested when people acted on what they heard and 3.) Faith was imparted to them and they were healed.
What do you think Jesus taught and preached on? Well, the Bible says that from His teaching and preaching, healings and miracles were manifested, so He obviously taught and preached divine truth - that God still performs miracles, He is still the God of signs and wonders, He still delivers the captives and sets them free!
The power of God, which is the anointing of the Holy Spirit, coupled with faith in the name of Jesus, is the gateway to receiving your healing or miracle.
“Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was present to heal them.” Luke 5:17-18
Pharisees and teachers of the law, came out of Galilee, Judea and Jerusalem, not to be healed or to be set free by Jesus, but to trap Him any way they could simply because they were envious of Him. If you read through to verse 26 of the same chapter you will find only one man who was lame and brought on a stretcher by his friends was healed. The atmosphere was electrified by the power of the Lord, but none of these men acted on that power and walked away the same as they came. Everyone, except for this one man whose four friends would not see him crawl around for the rest of his life, but had faith that Jesus would heal him - and He did.
“When He saw their faith, He said to him, "Man, your sins are forgiven you.” Luke 5:20
So how does one receive God’s miraculous, healing power? Let’s take a look at just a few ways that one can receive a miracle, a healing or be set free when these principles are applied.
The Word of God
 The Word of God is alive and active. When it is preached or taught, faith is imparted to the hearer. If they will receive the Word, believe the Word, and act on what they have heard, they can, by faith, receive their miracle, healing, and deliverance.
“For God's Message is full of life and power, and is keener than the sharpest two-edged sword. It pierces even to the severance of soul from spirit, and penetrates between the joints and the marrow, and it can discern the secret thoughts and purposes of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12 (Weymouth)
The Name of Jesus
The Name of Jesus has enough power in it to save the worst of sinners. The name Jesus means Savior. If the hearer believes in the Name, which is above every name, then acts in faith in the name of Jesus for their miracle, for their healing or to be saved, they too can receive whatever they are believing for at that time.
"Through faith in the name of Jesus, this man was healed—and you know how crippled he was before. Faith in Jesus' name has healed him before your very eyes.” Acts 3:16 (NLT)
Faith
The moment faith and (dunamis) power meet, a holy explosion takes place! Miracles, healings, deliverance, signs, wonders and salvation are then manifested. The same principle of activating a power source applies to the natural realm. For instance, plugging a heater into the electrical outlet on a cold day and then switching it on utilizes the power of electricity and causes the heater to heat the air. If nobody plugs the heater in, the air will remain cool. In the same way, faith gives action to the anointing, or the power of God.
“Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].” Hebrews 11:1 (AMP)
 The Lord is so faithful to His Word. He says “…I will hasten my Word to perform it.” Jeremiah 1:12 Whatever we ask our heavenly Father for has already been provided for by Christ. He is our Provider, He is our Healer and He is the Mediator, praying for us and watching over us, always ready to provide what He has promised. So I encourage you to put your faith and trust in Christ the Healer, the Savior, the miracle-working God. So draw from His mighty power, His mighty Word, and His mighty Name and watch as He is faithful to perform it in your life. Hallelujah!
